Forensis Lab Verify™: photo pre-analysis
For consumers it will be the first step: a first level of analysis of the photos, with our technology (artificial-intelligence tools) and the assessment of our experts. It will give a preliminary result, for which the experts take responsibility: it is not an expert report. It is not available today: no case can be sent from here, and only the demo can be tried, in Italian, with simulated data. For businesses and the authorities, the photo check remains the one carried out by the expert.

Why it is different
A platform that lets itself be checked
There is only one difference between a marketing tool and a working tool: the second states its own limits.

Assisted pre-analysis
With artificial-intelligence tools, and with a person who assesses every result: cases that begin online will be screened before they reach the laboratory, which will then work on those that warrant an expert report.

Case status tracked
Every step of the case will be recorded with its date and time: the client will see where their case stands, without having to ask.
III.
QR verification and blockchain fingerprint
Reports on laboratory analyses will carry the QR code of the public register, which is still being set up, and their fingerprint will be recorded on a blockchain: whoever receives a report will be able to check its integrity and date on the verification page.
Note · stated limits
A photograph is not chemical proof.
The pre-analysis will work on what is visible and what is declared: it will be able to rule out trivial cases quickly and flag anomalies, but it will not be able to assert that a fragrance is genuine. It will be assisted by artificial-intelligence tools, and no result will be issued without the assessment of a person who takes responsibility for it. When the photos are not enough, the expert will propose the laboratory check, on the bottle, and work will go ahead only with the client's agreement. Forensis Lab Verify™ does not replace the appointed expert: technical assessment and the signing of the report remain with the responsible professional.

What people ask us
When will it be available, and what can be done today?
There is no date yet. Today the demo can be tried, in Italian, with simulated data: it sends nothing. For a real case, a consumer requests the expert report on the bottle: they write to the laboratory and receive the price, the timing and how to send it, and the report is signed by the court-registered expert. For businesses and the authorities, the first level remains the photo check carried out by the expert.
What exactly will the pre-analysis do?
It will apply the rules of protocol FL-P/01, still in development, to the case (completeness of the record, batch code format, consistency between channel and price, seal integrity), with the assistance of artificial-intelligence tools, and will return a pre-analysis score with the level of analysis proposed. The score will serve only to propose the level: it does not measure the product's authenticity. A person will assess the findings and take responsibility for them: what comes out will be a preliminary result, not a judgement of authenticity.
Why do price and channel matter as much as the photographs?
Because they separate two different phenomena that look alike: genuine parallel stock sold outside the official network, and a counterfeit. The photographs say how the product is made; channel and price say where it came from.
Will the Verify™ result have legal standing?
No: the pre-analysis of the photos will give a preliminary result, with no probative value. The report on the laboratory analyses (L2, L3) is prepared and signed by an expert on the register of the Tribunal of Palermo, under the laboratory's protocols (FL-P), still in development: it can be submitted in legal proceedings by the party that commissioned it, and the assessment of its value rests with the judge.
What will happen to the photographs uploaded?
They will enter the case file and follow the laboratory's documentary chain of custody. They will not be passed on or shown to third parties, except where required by law or by an order of the judicial authorities, or where there is a risk to health; they may feed the laboratory's comparative database only in a form that cannot be traced back to the client. In the demo on this site nothing is sent anywhere: everything stays in your browser.
How much do the analyses cost?
The laboratory check (L2) and the chemical analysis (L3) are quoted case by case, because they depend on the number of samples and the comparisons needed: the price is known before work starts, and we go ahead only with the requester's agreement.
